Two arrested for piracy

SHILLONG: Police on Monday arrested two persons for duplicating, hiring and downloading all Khasi, Jaintia and Garo Films in their shops at Mawlonghat, Shillong.

The police made the arrest after Rudolf Mawlong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar police Station that one Donbor Marbaniang and Vicky Mishra were involved in duplicating, hiring and downloading all Khasi, Jaintia and Garo Films in their shops at Mawlonghat, Shillong.

Immediately after receiving complaints, Police conducted search and seized pirated local film CDs, one 32 GB Pen drive, one 16 GB pen drive and one CPU from their shops. Police arrested the accused persons.
