Kalam to address college principals at USTM

SHILLONG: Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam will address the “North East College Principals’ Conclave (NCPC)-2014” at Techno City, University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya (USTM) on July 23.
The conclave has been organized by USTM in association with Assam College Principals’ Council (ACPC) with an aim to streamline the educational institutions, knowing each other’s potentials and working together for the betterment of the educational scenario of the region.
The highlight of the conclave will be a seminar on “Higher Education in North East with reference to Rashtriya Uchchatar Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA)” to discuss various issues related to the implementation of RUSA. More than a thousand college principals from all the degree colleges of Assam as well as the other NE states, teachers and renowned academicians of the region are expected to participate in the conclave.
A large number of college & school students will also attend the address of Dr. Kalam who will address the principals emphasizing on Science, innovation and other related issues to be cultured in educational institutions for the greater benefit of the students of the region.
