Population Day

Health and Family Welfare department will observe the World Population Day on July 11 at Ganesh Das Hospital at 11 am. Deputy Commissioner Sanjay will be the Chief Guest.

Unclaimed body

One unknown patient (35) was admitted in Shillong Civil Hospital on June 26 and he expired on July 8 and his relatives are requested to collect the dead body within three days from the morgue of the hospital.

Meeting

The Annual General meeting of the Shillong Socio-Cultural Assamese Students Association for the year 2014-15 will be held on July 13 at Asom Kristi Kendra, Dhankheti from 11 am.

Enrollment

The mass enrollment drive for Chief Minister’s Social Assistance Scheme will be held on July 11 at Umsning Football ground at 10 am where Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma will be the chief guest.

Book release

The series-‘English for You’ co-authored by Dr T K Kharbamon and Dr. J Chatterjee from the English and Foreign Languages University, Shillong campus was released by Diane Millar, Director,Regional English Language Office, American Embassy, New Delhi who was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

A musical reality show ‘Satabdi te Surer Naba Diganta’, organized by the New Age Welfare Society, Jail Road, Shillong will be held on July 16, 17 and 19 from 5 pm onwards in the Society’s premises, as part of it is Centenary Celebrations programme. All are cordially invited to grace the function.
