Aizawl: Mizoram Excise and Narcotics department officials have seized 47 grams of heroin at Zemabawk near Aizawl and arrested one person in this connection, state excise department officials on Thursday said.
The accused Thanliandinga (21) of Vaikhawtlang in the Myanmar border Champhai district told the interrogators that he smuggled the contraband through the Mizoram-Myanmar border hamlet of Zokhawthar for selling it in Aizawl, the officials said.
Meanwhile, the state excise department officials, in a joint operation with the BSF seized 10,400 detonators from the Mizoram-Assam border.(PTI)
