Community hall inaugurated in Ri-Bhoi village

NONGPOH: Umsning legislator and Parliamentary Secretary, Celestine Lyngdoh, inaugurated the new Community Hall of Umsawnongkharai village which was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs.8 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest, Lyngdoh applauded the representatives of Umsawnongkharai village led by the Rangbah Shnong A. Sun for their great leadership and proper utilization of government schemes in constructing the community hall, public toilet and the footpath, which he said, will benefit residents of the village.

The day also witnessed multiple inauguration programmes at Umsawnongkharai including the inauguration of an MGNREGS footpath sanctioned at an amount Rs. 12 lakh and a public toilet under the SWRP scheme built at a cost of Rs.1.50 lakh inaugurated by the Block Development Officer, Umling C&RD Block L.G. Marboh Kharmih and DRDA Project Director D. Hynniewta, respectively.
