CM launches Social Assistance Scheme in Kharkutta

RESUBELPARA: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma launched the Chief Minister’s Social Assistance Scheme for infirm, widows and disabled in Kharkutta C&RD Block on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister assured that every deserving individual will get the benefit being provided under the scheme.

With an aim to provide access to the facilities being provided by the government to the people, an order was already given on August 7 for implementation of Meghalaya Help Desk On-line, the Chief Minister informed the gathering.

The Chief Minister also informed that the Government had set a target to cover 4 lakh families under the Integrated Basin Development and Livelihood Promotion Programme (IBDLP).

While highlighting the efforts of the Government to bring in more development to the state, Sangma informed that the State had already identified the sites under the Cluster Approach to set up two cattle farms.
