SHILLONG: He does not believe in official accord of world records since he considers that he has already crossed the limits of officially recognized records.

HG Ley (50), a B-Tech engineer from Andhra Pradesh was in Shillong on August 15 to display his skills of riding the bike blindfolded using leather mask.

Ley has already covered over 48,000 km in bike blindfolded throughout the country and wants to traverse as much distance as he can blindfolded. Ley, who is also a master practitioner in neuro linguistic programming from USA said on Saturday that there is a purpose in exhibiting his skill beyond entertainment.

“National integration is the message which I want to communicate and I am doing the stunts not for any record,” Ley said.

He added that though several bodies which officially accord world records had approached him, he did not want to join the race.

Ley, is also the director of ‘Magique Systems’ based in Andhra Pradesh which runs ‘magic-2-mind’ programme that illustrates life science skills through the art of magic.

He had helped the students in Shillong and other parts of the Northeast to excel in learning through magic. Besides conducting a workshop at St Anthony’s School on March 30,2003, he recently conducted a course on skill development through magic at Tiny tots school, Nongthymmai.
