RESUBELPARA: North Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, W. Khyllep, recently convened a district-level meeting with heads of educational institutions in the district to review the performances of different secondary- and higher secondary- level schools and to draw up plans to improve their performances in the board examinations to come.
Stressing on the need to impart quality education, Khyllep urged the heads of all the educational institutions to chalk out a programme for a district-level awareness campaign on National Children’s
Science Congress, to concentrate more on those subjects where most of the students have been failing, to give special attention to the weak students, to take immediate steps to improve the performances of the students in the board examinations and to organize remedial classes for the students of Class X and XII respectively.
The District School Education Officer was also tasked with the responsibility of closely monitoring all the educational institutions in the district.
Khyllep also informed that the district administration, in collaboration with the State Planning Department, will organize an awareness programme for Science teachers of the district on August 22.
