Seminar on exam practices of NE states

SHILLONG: A three-day regional seminar on sharing information on the assessment and examination practices and the learning indicators of the secondary level of education carried out by different state boards of the region under the overall objectives of Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyaan (RMSA), a flagship programme of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) began at NERIE-NCERT, Umiam on Tuesday.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion Executive Chairman of MBOSE and Commissioner and Secretary, Education, EP Kharbih, while appreciating the participation of all the regional states, emphasized on the need to look at the models and approaches of the respective states to initiate sharing of best practices.

The participants comprised of officials of State Board of School, SCERT, DIET and RMSA from all the NE States save Arunachal Pradesh.

During the three-day programme, presentations will be made on the system and practices of assessment and evaluation of various boards. Group discussions will be conducted to share the future vision of assessment and examinations.
