Freak accident

In a freak incident, a minor died after he fell into a water tank inside a toilet in West Khasi Hills. According to the complainant, Laspurwell Nongsiej of Tiehsaw village in West Khasi Hills, his minor son Bankilson Wanniang (5) was found drowned in a water tank inside a toilet on April 21 at 5 am. The father lodged an FIR at Nongstoin police station in this regard.

NGT ban violations

Elius Nongbri (41) lodged a complaint at Nongstoin police station that on August 19, the driver of his JCB one Shaibor Tyrsa, without his permission took the JCB and loaded coal from the coal depot of one Kwingly Snaitang of Ladweitang in West Khasi Hills.

On August 21 at around 6.30 pm, Police detected one truck (AS-01-DD-4975) driven by one Forlistar Marthong at Pyndenglawar (WKH) which was transporting coal in violation of NGT order.

Accident

On August 22 at around 2.10 pm, one motorcycle (ML-05K-5193) knocked down a woman Fadaline Mawmang (40) at Lukier Road. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to NEIGRIHMS.

One dead

On July 31, morning, one Bishan Ryntathiang (45) was found lying unconscious at Nongpoh (RB). He was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong where he died on August 22.
