SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya has granted relief to some non-tribal traders of Nongmynsong through a judgment on August 19 and 20 whereby the closure notices issued by KHADC were set aside.

The Court directed the KHADC to consider the application of the petitioners within a period of two months on their submission of fresh application for trade licence.

In the earlier round of actions initiated by KHADC, many non-tribal traders did not respond to the closure notices issued by the Council and consequently their shops were closed and sealed which are yet to be opened.
