Sumi Paul has been awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Phd) in Botany from NEHU for her thesis ‘In vitro propagation of Dendrobium hookerianum Lindl., a threatened orchid of Northeast India and enzymnatic studies during different stages of its development’ under the supervision of Prof. S.K. Kumaria and Prof. P. Tandon. She is the daughter of P.K. Paul and Jyothsna Paul and wife of Alok Paul Choudhury.
