SHILLONG: An Investment Conclave focusing on the Investment potential of Meghalaya billed as ‘North East Food Conclave: Investors Meet at Meghalaya’, in Agri-Horti and Food Processing sector was organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in association with Ministry of Food Processing Industries, and Department of Industries and Commerce here on Thursday.

25 potential investors from across the country and India representative of various food processing, packaging and cold chain giants of the world interacted with local entrepreneurs for partnership ventures, discusses opportunities with government officials and held business meetings for investment process for setting up their units.

Dr. C Lyngdoh, Parliamentary Secretary in charge Agriculture, spoke at length about the produce of Meghalaya that can be taken to national and international market and mentioned about the famous Lakadong turmeric, gingers, orchids, strawberries and oranges.
