One dies in accident

On Sept 30 at around 8 pm, one Maruti Alto K10 (ML-05L-3805) driven by Mark Lyngdoh knocked down one Dipul Roy (26) at Lad Umroi near Botanical Garden office (RB). The victim sustained injuries and was removed to Robert Hospital, Shillong. Later, the victim succumbed to his injuries. Body was handed over to relatives.

Body floating in Umiam Lake

On September 30 at around 5 pm, police fished out one decomposed male dead body floating at Umiam lake near Mawdon area under Lumdiengjri police station (EKH).

Vehicle damaged

Md. Mojnur Islam, driver of a truck, lodged complaint at Khliehriat PS that on September 29 around 3 pm, a group of miscreants damaged his vehicle, in which he also sustained injuries.

Md. Manik Ali Laskar, lodged complaint at Khliehriat PS that on September 24 around 3 pm, a group of miscreants pelted stones at his vehicle at Wapung (EJH) causing damage to the same.

Bapile Paul, lodged complaint at Khliehriat PS that on September 24 afternoon, a group of miscreants pelted stones at his vehicle at Wapung (EJH) causing damage to the same.

NGT ban violation

On September 29 at around 8 pm, while police were on vehicle checking, detected two coal laden trucks (AS-01EC-6067) driven by Pdiangbor Pyngrope and (ML-05J-4117) driven by Dismis Janong at Nongstoin-Mawkyrwat Road near DTO Office, Nongstoin (WKH). Police arrested the drivers and seized the trucks.

Abduction case

A person of Nayagaon Gomajhora under Phulbari PS (WGH) lodged a complaint at Tura Women PS that on September 27 around 8 pm, his minor sister (14) was abducted by one Fakhuruddin of Rajapukhuri village, Darrang, Assam.

Accident case

On October 2 around 10.30 am, Thranson Nongdhar (27) fell from a moving auto-rickshaw (number not known) at Kyndongbasa, Sohryngkham (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Electrocution

On October 1, Osder Umsong (42) came in contact with live electric wire in his residence at Jongksha village under Madanrting PS (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Bethany Hospital, Shillong for treatment.

Missing cases

Rashu Marak lodged a complaint at Williamnagar PS that on September 28 at around 8 am, he sent his daughter Grikchira N Sangma in an auto-rickshaw from Williamnagar Bazar to their residence at Kusimkolgre, Williamnagar (EGH). Later, when the complainant reached home, he found that his daughter had not returned home.

Tajibala Momin lodged a complaint at Mendipathar PS that her mother Ashatina Momin (46) was missing from their residence at Mendipathar (NGH) since September 18, 2014.

Jepperson N Marak lodged a complaint at Mendipathar PS that Shri Riksengbirth R Marak (27) was missing from Central Silk Board, Mendipathar (NGH) since September 15, 2014.

Mojem Sangma of Kashkona village (NGH) lodged a complaint at Mendipathar PS that his son Anilson Marak (25) was missing from the village since July 15, 2014.

Arrest

On Sept 30, Police arrested three persons Alamgir Sheikh (30), Sonidul Islam (19) and Monirul Islam (28) in connection with a robbery case under Mendipathar PS.

Misappropriation case

Manoj Beriwal of M/s Manoj Enterprise, Tura (WGH) lodged a complaint at Tura PS that on September 11, he found that his employee Anil Gupta has misappropriated Rs. 2,88,745 and on September 20 he fled away.

Threat call

Chesida Ch Marak of Sadar PS Complex, Shillong lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on September 28 & 29, 2014, she received phone calls in which the anonymous caller abused and threatened her with dire consequences.
