Inauguration
The new building of the Mawlai Police Station and Mawlai Traffic Branch will be inaugurated on October 15 at 11.15 am. Director General of Police, P.J.P. Hanaman, will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
Competition
Survey of India Bridge Club, Shillong, will organize its 19th open bridge competition on October 18-19. The tournament will start with pair event in memory of Late B.K. Mazumdar followed by the team of four duplicate events in memory of Late Maj. Gen. P.K. Gupta at Survey of India Community Hall, Barik.

The general election of the Shillong Bar Association held by secret ballot cast by the eligible members has elected Heletson Nongkhlaw as the president and Subir Sen as the secretary, besides six members.
