Suicide

On the night of October 15, one Md. Sajamal Khan (26) committed suicide by hanging himself in his residence at Nongmynsong, Shillong.

Body found

On October 13 at around 10 pm, the body of Bishal Saha (20) was found from the forest near Golf Club, Shillong and shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong for post mortem examination. After necessary formalities the cadaver was handed over to the relatives.

Fraud

NW Momin lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on October 13 at around 11.45 am, he received an anonymous phone call where the caller claimed to be an employee of a bank and asked for his ATM details and the same was passed to him in good faith. Later, he received an SMS alert on his phone that an amount of Rs. 50,000 was withdrawn from his account.

Murder

It was reported that one Tanly Papiah (40) assaulted his wife Khian Tang (35 yrs) with a piece of wood at Pdeiniadaw village under Saitsama OP (WJH) causing injuries to her. On October 12, the victim succumbed to her injuries in a hospital at Jowai (WJH).

Theft

On October 12 at around 11.30 am, unknown miscreants stole one laptop computer and cash belonging to Ishanne Kamal from Tradis Ford Girls Hostel, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.

On October 12 at around 2 pm, one Telu Sangma stole the head of a goat belonging to Kremish D Shira from Williamnagar Bazar (EGH).

Threat

Satish Bhansali lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on October 10 at around 9.45 pm one Sanjiv Jain threatened him with dire consequences over phone.
