‘I want to remain single for now’
Singer Jennifer Lopez says she wants to remain single for the time being because the most important thing in her life right now is her children. Lopez, 45, does not want to find another boyfriend because she is concentrating on looking after her six-year-old twins Max and Emme from third husband Marc Anthony, it was reported. “My friends are constantly trying to set me up but I’m just not there right now. It’s not something that’s a priority. I have gone from relationship to relationship but, at the end of the day, I am not ashamed of the path I have taken or the lessons I have learnt,” said Lopez, who split from her Anthony in 2012. “Right now it feels good to just be on my own and have some ‘I love Jennifer’ time, which I haven’t done a lot in my life. I am just spending time with myself and my kids. I still believe in love, of course, but the thing you think about most is who is good enough to come into the life of me and the kids?” she added. The ‘Booty’ hitmaker split from boyfriend Casper Smart in June following a two-and-a-half year romance. (PTI)
Katy Perry’s love letters to be auctioned
Singer Katy Perry wrote a number of letters to a boy called Christopher when she was 11. The love letters that she wrote to her crush way back in 1995, are now up for auction. The letters, which are to be sold by Juliens Auctions next month, are estimated to be bought at over $800, reports a website. One of these notes begins with: “Dear Christopher, I got your address from a special person, your mom! I didn’t know it, but your mom was sitting right in front of me on the couch and I said I liked you and I didn’t know that it was your mum! I was so embarrassed your mom told me to write you and I did.” Another letter ends: “P.S. I like you a lot! Write back asap. Love Katy Hudson.” Meanwhile, Russell Brand, Perry’s former husband, recently said he relished being married to the singer, although the marriage only lasted a mere 14 months. Brand admitted that he has fond memories of their time together and has nothing but admiration for his ex. The former duo got engaged in 2009 and tied the knot in October 2010 in a traditional Hindu ceremony in Rajasthan, India. However, Brand filed for divorce from Perry in December 2011. Perry previously said, the break-up changed her opinion on love and she found the split “traumatic”. (IANS)
We were shooting: Pitt on absence from Clooney’s wedding
Hollywood star Brad Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie were missing at George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s nuptials, but the Ocean’s Eleven star says he was caught up with shooting. Clooney wed British human rights lawyer Alamuddin in Italy Sep 27 with many of the actor’s famous friends in attendance. When asked about his absence from his friend’s special day, Pitt said: “We were filming in Malta”, referring to his new romantic film with Jolie, “By The Sea”. Pitt, who spoke on the sidelines of the red carpet premiere of his new film “Fury”, is also yet to gift Clooney and Alamuddin a wedding present. “I still owe him something,” he said. Meanwhile, he’s awaiting the release of “Fury”, which also stars Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Scott Eastwood, Jon Bernthal and Michael Pena. (IANS)
