Diwali celebrated in Nagaland

Kohima: Diwali, the festival of lights, is being celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal in Nagaland. Despite being a Christian state, this small north eastern state has a sizeable non-Naga Hindu population who are in various government services and business. People have decorated their homes with colourful flowers, candles, lamps and attractive electric lights. Despite appeals and orders from respective district administration, people are seen bursting firecrackers. (PTI)
