NONGPOH: Taken aback by the alleged unprofessional manners of execution of works by the two companies engaging in the construction of the four-lane project from Jorabat to Umiam, the Khasi Students’ Union North Khasi Hills District Unit has decided to convene a meeting with all the heads of villages situated along the project site.
KSU president F Kharkamni said that the meeting will be held on Thursday at 11 am at the Union’s office at Mawdiangum.
He also informed that they will discuss the sub contracting of the four-lane project by ILFS to NKC Ltd. and YFC ltd. which had led to the man-made disasters resulting in loss of lives and property, unscientific earth cutting and lack of provision of service roads or footpaths along the Expressway.
