SHILLONG: The three-day advanced training on “Dehydrated Floral Crafts” conducted by the Bio Resources Development Centre in collaboration with Meghalaya Basin Development Authority under the aegis of Integrated Basin Development & Livelihood Promotion Programme, concluded at Youth Hostel here on Thursday.
As many as 54 women entrepreneurs from across the State attended the second phase of the training which dwelt upon the various ways in which dehydrated flowers could be used to make various stationery items.
Floral craft products range from greeting cards, wall hangings, framed designs, diaries to landscapes. In the second phase of the training, the entrepreneurs were taught to make carry bags, file folders, slip box, pen stand and diaries besides cards.
The training was provided with an aim to substantially improve the livelihoods of the women entrepreneurs in a sustainable manner.
