Foundation Day

The Meghalaya Bharat Scouts and Guides will celebrate its 64th Foundation Day at Raj Bhawan on November 6. The Meghalaya Governor who is also the patron of the Bharat Scouts and Guides will be the chief guest on the occasion. Chief Secretary, PBO Warjri would be inducted as the new president of Bharat Scouts and Guides on the occasion.

Greetings

The Central Puja Committee (CPC) has extended its greetings to members of the Sikh community on the occasion of 545th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on November 6.

Cleaning drive

Madan Hindi Pathshala Secondary School, Shillong conducted a cleaning drive at Madanrting on November 3 as part of the Clean India Campaign. On the occasion, the students and teachers took pledge to remain committed towards cleanliness.

Gratitude

The Barapather Muharram Akhara Committee has conveyed its gratitude to all participants for their cooperation in the procession. The committee also thanked the Meghalaya Governor, East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, local MLA among others.

Look out notice

The State Police has issued a look out notice against one Sushanta Mitra, resident of Siliguri West Bengal who is wanted in connection with a case in Lumdiengjri police station.

Science talent competition

The District Planning Office, North Garo Hills District, Resubelpara organized the District Level Science Talent Competition on Tuesday at Resubelpara Government UP School. Around 200 participants from different schools of the district participated in the programme which witnessed various competitions. Cash awards and certificates were given to the winners of the various competitions.

Body found

On October 31, a body beyond recognition was recovered from the forest at Umsohlang village. The body had on it a blue coloured jeans and a grey coloured T-shirt. Realitves, if any, can contact the in charge of Mawdiandiang Outpost at 0364-2908684/9863375425.
