Governor extends greeting on National Press Day

Itanagar:Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma on Saturday extended warm greetings to the members of the media fraternity of Arunachal Pradesh on the occasion of National Press Day.
The Governor expressed hope that the occasion will inspire them to maintain highest standards of professionalism and con-structive journalism.
In a message, the Gover-nor said that Media is the nerve of the society. It plays a vital role in dissemination of information to the masses based on facts and truth. He said media has been motivating people to work towards a just and corrup-tion free society and developed nation.
He said media in the state has shown its commitment to truth, pursuits of demo-cracy, fairness and object-ivity. It has ensured that the happenings in society are correctly reflected and important issues involving young, women and sensi-tive social ones are providing much required attention. It has truly become the ‘Voice of the every Arunachalee.’
The Governor wished that media in the State and country continues its excellent service towards the society, downtrodden, women and children and environment for a better  tomorrow for all. (UNI)
