Money looted

In a fresh case, on Wednesday afternoon, miscreants threw dirt at one Wanjoplang Kharbuki (33) at Police Bazar and also snatched away his bag containing Rs.1,70,000 which was the salary of the staff of Presbyterian Church of India.

Theft

On November 25 at around 6.30pm, miscreants stole gold chain valued around Rs.45,000 and a purse containing important documents, from the house of one T. Lhingngkim at Dong Gordon, Bhagyakul, Laitumkhrah.

On November 24 at around 6am, miscreants stole one cell phone valued around Rs.1000 from the house of one Tyngshainlin Sun at Jaiaw Langsning.

Driver killed

On November 25 at around 4am, an accident took place between two trucks (AS-11DC-5701) and (ML-10A-9347) at Umling (RB). Driver of truck (ML-10A-9347), Baijanath Yadav (30), sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Nongpoh, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Bike theft

One Gilberth Roy Marbaniang lodged a complaint at Umiam PS that on November 24 at around 6pm, his motorcycle (ML-05A-9380) was found missing from Sumer Umbang (RB).

Girls involved in paper leak

Tami Roy Laloo, Deputy Controller, Examinations, MBOSE, Tura, lodged a complaint on November 24 at Tikrikilla Police Station in connection with the leakage of Class IX common question paper in the subject of Science & Technology and Mathematics at Tikrikilla Girls Secondary School. During investigation, it transpired that two girls both Class IX students of Tikrikilla Girls Secondary School (WGH) were involved in the case.

NGT ban violation

M.A Challam, EAC, Nongstoin lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on November 22 at about 11pm, one coal-laden truck (ML-05K-7934) driven by one Lidar L. Nongbsap (23) was detected at Nongkhlaw (WKH), while illegally transporting coal in violation of NGT order. Police arrested the driver.

One more coal laden truck (ML-10A-0970) was detected at Nongkhlaw (WKH). However, the driver of the truck managed to escape along with the truck, while the handyman Banshailang Mawlong (23) was apprehended.

Fraud

One David Leong Ryngkhlem lodged a complaint at Lumdiengjri PS that one Alex had put up an online advertisement at Quikr.com to sell his motorcycle CBR 600cc. the complainant had deposited Rs.1 lakh in the account of one Wonchamo Lotha and when he was asked to deposit more money he realized he has been cheated.

School toilet dismantled

On October 31 three persons Kitbor Thangkhiew, Shot Thangkhiew and Hambert Thangkhiew dismantled the toilet of Mawmih Govt. L.P School (EKH).

Torture

One Akrez Zaman lodged a complaint at Tura PS that his son-in-law Nur Hussain physically and mentally tortured his daughter Reksona Begum since their marriage in 2012, at Phulbari (WGH). Further, on March 15, 2014, Nur Hussain and his mother, Usubjan Bibi attempted to murder her by strangulation.
