NEHU inter-college volleyball gets underway

SHILLONG: The Sports Department of the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong is organising Inter College Volleyball (Men & Women) Tournament 2014 at the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sports Ground, NEHU Permanent Campus, Shillong   and it would conclude on Thursday. The Tournament began with an opening ceremony where Dr. S.N.Lamare, Dean of Students Welfare, NEHU cum Teacher In-charge, Sports Department, NEHU grace the occasion as chief guest.

On the first day in women section, NEHU, Shillong beat Sngap Syiem College, Mawkyrwat and Lady Keane College, Shillong while Women’s College, Shillong beat St. Edmund’s College, Shillong.

In Men Section, NEHU, Shillong beat Nongstoin College while St. Edmund’s College beat Sngap Syiem College, Mawkyrwat.

On Thursday, NEHU Shillong will play Women’s College at 10.A.M in women’s section while in Men Section, NEHU, Shillong will play St. Edmund’s College, Shillong at 11.00 A.M.

The Sports Department of the North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong also organising Inter College Football (Women) Tournament 2014 at the J.N.Sports Complex, Polo, Shillong  from from November 26 -28th November .The Tournament began with an opening ceremony where Dr. S.N.Lamare, Dean of Students Welfare, NEHU cum Teacher In-charge, Sports Department, NEHU graces the occasion as chief guest.
