SHILLONG: In a continued crack down on illegal consumption of liquor and intoxicants in public places, the city police on Friday picked up five college students from Botanical  Garden.
East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrangsaid that police also recovered a small quantity of Ganja from their possession.
“Police is investigating into the matter,” Kharkrang said.
Earlier, this month the city police had picked up 46 students, including five girls, from Ward’s Lake and other parts of the city after they were found drinking inside the Lake campus and also for indecent behaviour.
