Guwahati NGO carries out relief work in GH

RESUBELPARA: The Humanitarian Social Organisation of Guwahati called ACTION AID has carried out relief and rehabilitation distribution works to the flood and landslide affected victims in and around North Garo Hills district.

Those families whose properties have severely been damaged needed assistance for restoration. The DC in charge North Garo Hills, David D Sangma, launched the distribution as the Chief Guest. The objective of Action Aid is to lift human sufferings and erase the poverty.

The first beneficiaries among the affected were widows, disabled, infirm, old people, and economically backward persons.

“We have distributed bed sheets, blankets, buckets, mugs, plates and others in the first round and in the second, third, and fourth round, we will be distributing tools, seeds, and livestocks” said Bhaskar Jyoti Saharia a representative of Action Aid Guwahati

Relief volunteer KD Momin thanked the Action Aid for its contribution.
