SHILLONG: The Cabinet minister’s post which fell vacant following the resignation of Roshan Warjri a fortnight ago is yet to be filled.

The Chief Minister had in the past avoided the questions on filling up the vacant post by telling the media persons that he would let them know.

The Chief Minister is at present holding the portfolios of Home (police and jail) and PWD (buildings) which Warjri was holding.

It was on November 20 that Warjri resigned as Home Minister owning moral responsibility for the deteriorating law and order situation in Garo Hills.

Congress sources said on Wednesday indicated that the Chief Minister is expected to go for an overall cabinet reshuffle in the early part of next year when the Congress-led MUA-II Government completes two years in office.
