Grammy-award winning singer Pharrell Williams was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The 41-year-old singer received the walk’s 2,537th star at the ceremony in front of the W Hollywood Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard, it was reported.
The ‘Happy’ hitmaker, who has sold more than 100 million copies of his productions and won seven Grammy awards, wore a bright jacket from his line Billionaire Boys Club, a white tee and a pair of acid wash jeans. He completed his look with red shoes, a white hat and some beaded necklaces.
Williams was joined by his family, including his wife Helen Lasichanh and his son Rocket, and his friend Ellen DeGeneres. During his acceptance speech, Pharrell said, “I feel so grateful for this honour.
I could never properly explain what this means for me who had no idea what my love for music whatever take me. Music has been the skeleton key that has opened every door of my life.”
“Pharrell is a genius and I have been lucky enough to know Pharrell since he was a nerd and he has grown into international superstar. His lyrics have inspired me and have gotten me through some tough times,” DeGeneres said. (PTI)
