Kohima:Nagaland Minister for Social Welfare & Parliamentary Affairs Kiyanilie Peseyie today urged the media to be fair, impartial, unprejudiced and honest in disseminating news and events connected with different socio-political quarters and the Government at large.

Addressing at the 12th Anniversary of the North East Press Service (NEPS) here, Mr Peseyie said people cannot live without information in this fast changing scenario and advance information technologies.

In Nagaland, the flow of information coming in was as fast as other parts of the world which shows that our media persons have been discharging their duties efficiently, he added.

He reminded that media is considered as the Fourth Pillar of the democracy and mentioned that a demo-cracy without media is like a vehicle without wheels. Editor-in-Chief NEPS News Service Oken Jeet Sandham gave a brief background of NEPS journey, while exhortation was given by X Rutsa, President of the Khoima Press Club.(UNI)
