Nagaland village asks landowner to relieve illegal immigrants

Kohima:The Seluophe Village Council(CVC) in Dimapur district on Monday directed all landowners who have engaged illegal Bangladeshi immigrants to make them leave on or before January 31.

According to a release a resolution to this effect was taken during a joint meeting of the Seluophe Village Council, women and youth organizations and elders on December 30.

The meeting also decided to convene a General Meeting on January 10. All the landowners were asked to attend the proposed General Meeting without fail.

Meanwhile, members of Seluophe village have expressed gratitude on the adoption of Seluophe as Model Village by state’s lone Lok Sabha member Neiphiu Rio, the release said. (UNI)
