Arunachal House nod to 3 Bills, one send to select committee

Itanagar:The conclu-ding day of the three-day session of the sixth Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh passed three important Bills and sent one to select committee for its necessary amend-ments.
The four Bills were tabled for its consider and passing on Friday, are – ‘The Societies Registration (Extension to Arunachal Pradesh) (Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Arunachal Pradesh Panchayat Raj (amendment) Bill, 2015, The Arunachal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Professionals (Incentive, Development and Promo-tional) Bill, 2015 and The Global University Aruna-chal Pradesh Bill, 2015’.
‘The Societies Regis-tration (Extension to Arunachal Pradesh) (Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Arunachal Pradesh Panc-hayat Raj (amendment) Bill, 2015,’ were passed on the floor of the House on voice votes.
However, ‘The Aruna-chal Pradesh District Based Entrepreneurs and Profes-sionals (Incentive, Deve-lopment and Promotional) Bill, 2015’ was passed after Deputy Speaker, T N Thongdok suggested for necessary amendments as the members who were participated in the discussion were expressed their observations for some changes in its rules.
The Deputy Speaker asked the concern minister to present the Bill in amended form in its next sitting.While, ‘The Global University Arunachal Pradesh Bill, 2015’, the most of the elected members have expressed their concern as the private university would be a money spinning institute in future.
Therefore, there must be some strong rules, regulations so that the institute not to be a commercial business hub to snatch public money. Some members also questioned about the institutes integrity and its credential while discharging of education.
The Education Minister, Tapang Taloh had brought the Bill for setting up of the Global University keeping in view to provide modern teaching facility to the youths.
Later, the Deputy Speaker has directed to send the Bill to select committee for its necessary amendments. (UNI)
