Kolkata: Former Cong-ress MP from Assam Matang Singh was on Saturday questioned by the CBI for his alleged involve-ment in the multi-crore Saradha scam, a day after Trinamool Congress natio-nal general secretary Mukul Roy was grilled by the agency.
“I have come here to meet the CBI officials,’ Mr Singh told reporters before entring the CBI office at CGO Complex in Salt Lake on Saturday morning.
Mr Singh, accused of selling a TV channel to Saradha chief Sudipta Sen for Rs 45 crore, was sum-moned several times by the CBI but he could not due to his indisposition.Earlier, Mr Singh’s estranged wife Manorama was quizzed by the central investigat on agency. Incarcerated Sudipto Sen had said that he owned and has share in a number of TV channels, including NE TV.  (UNI)
