MPDA slapped on ‘Phantom’

SHILLONG: One of the most notorious criminals of Shillong David Lyngdoh popularly known as Phantom has been booked under Section 3(1) of Meghalaya Preventive Detention Act (MPDA).
This was informed by East Khasi Hills district police chief M Kharkrang.
‘Phantom’ also fearfully dubbed as ‘Bah Jyllud’ was arrested on August 26 last year from  Demseiniong. Presently languishing in the Jowai District Jail, David Lyngdoh alias Raja alias Albert Malngiang  has 16 criminal cases of theft and molestation registered against him in different police stations of the district.
Phantom was first arrested in October 2010 but was released on bail.
