2 minors gangraped in separate incidents in Punjabs

Ferozepur:Two minors were allegedly gangraped in two separate incidents near Abohar in subdivision of Fazilka District, police said on Monday. A 16-year-old school girl was allegedly gangraped by three youths identified as – Sagar, Mangu and Bansi – at Maujgarh village. They videographed the incident and uploaded it online, police said.  The accused were later arrested by the police and booked under various sections of IPC besides section 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence ACT (POCSO), they said. Meanwhile, in another incident, an eighth grade girl was allegedly raped by two minors identified as – Gurpreet Singh (18) and Sher Singh (16) – at Toot village, police said. According to the complaint registered by the victim’s parents, both the offenders allegedly abducted the victim from the market on their bike and raped her in the field on Saturday, police said. Foreigner’s passport, phone stolen at Surajkund Crafts fair

Faridabad:Passport of a foreigner and high-end mobile phones are among the articles stolen by thieves at the ongoing Surajkund Crafts fair near here, police said on Monday. On Sunday, a Lebanon tourist Fatima Khatooni at the fair lodged a complaint that her passport and a mobile phone have been stolen, police spokesperson said. A New Delhi resident Deepak has also lodged a complaint with the police suspecting theft of his mobile phone by thieves on Sunday, he said. (PTI)

8 yr-old boy killed by speeding bus

Mathura:An eight-year-old boy was run over by a Vrindavan-bound speeding bus, following which the locals protested against the incident by resorting to arson and blocking traffic on the Mathura-Vrindavan road, police said. Arun Kumar (8) was crossing the road when he was hit by the private bus coming from Mathura on Sunday, police said. The driver of the bus tried to flee the spot but was chased by some youths on their motorbike, following which he abandoned the bus and took refuge in the nearby police outpost. The locals blocked traffic on the Mathura-Vrindaban road for over two hours yesterday and burnt the bus, police said.(PTI)
