SHILLONG: A day after a staff associated with the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) was allegedly assaulted near Mawryngkneng while conducting a survey, official sources on Tuesday clarified that the survey was being conducted to allow NFR to prepare a report on the feasibility of railways in Meghalaya.
On Monday, a railway staff was allegedly pushed by some land owners when he was conducting the survey at Mawryngkneng area.
