Karan Johar posts cryptic tweet about ‘silence’

Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is facing a lot of backlash for taking part in the ‘AIB Roast’, has posted a cryptic tweet about ‘silence’. The 42-year-old director, set to make his full-fledged acting debut as a villain in ‘Bombay Velvet’, is yet to directly comment on the fallout that happened after the roast involving Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor went viral. “Silence can mean several things… Strength… Weakness and indifference… To me it always signifies dignity… Which is above everything else!,” Johar tweeted. The stand-up comedy team behind the video pulled it down after it stirred controversy for its expletive content and they have also apologised to the Christian community for their jokes. (PTI)

Nick Jonas to host 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards

Nick Jonas has sparked rumours of hosting the 2015 Kids’ Choice Awards after he posted on his Instagram a video of him singing the theme song to Nickelodeon. The 22-year-old singer captioned the video with “3.28.15,” which is the date of this year’s awards show, reported Ace Showbiz. Prior to posting the much talked video, Jonas also posted on the social media, a number of questions that mentioned previous Kids’ Choice Awards hosts. The upcoming Kids’ Choice Awards is slated to be staged on March 28 at the Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles, California. Host, awards presenters, and performers have not yet been officially named. Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show

After being a host for 17 years, political satirist Jon Stewart is quitting ‘The Daily Show’. Comedy Central has confirmed his departure from the show, reported Ace Showbiz. “Jon will remain at the helm for ‘The Daily Show’ until later this year. He is a comic genius, generous with his time and talent, and will always be a part of the Comedy Central family,” Comedy Central said in a statement. “For the better part of the last two decades, we have had the inedible honour and privilege of working with Jon Stewart,” the network went on stating. “His comedic brilliance is second to none. Jon has been at the heart of Comedy Central, championing and nurturing the best talent in the industry, in front of and behind the camera.  (PTI)
