SHILLONG: The general body meet cum elections of Shree Marwari Panchayat (SMP) were held at Rajasthan Vishram Bhawan, Shillong on Sunday. The elections of SMP are held every five years.
This year, instead of elections, 11 members were nominated in the general meeting of the SMP.
The nominated members include Bimal Bajaj, Gaurishankar Choudhury, Gauri Shankar Sharma, among others.
