SHILLONG: Malaysia Tourism Board will participate in the three-day Travel and Tourism Bazar scheduled in the city from Wednesday.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Amit Biswas from Travel and Tourism Bazar said that the Bazar would be held at the State Convention Centre.
“The event is being organized to encourage domestic tourists to visit North Eastern states,” he said, adding that visiting tourism boards would showcase their products at the Bazar.
To a query on whether such Bazars would boost tourism in Shillong despite the connectivity issues, Biswas said that each state of the N-E region has its own potential which would drive people to visit the region.
