TURA: The A’chik Baptist Dal’gipa Krima (ABDK) has strongly condemned the killing of four policemen in an ambush by GNLA militants at Panda reserve near Rongara in South Garo Hills.
“We strongly denounce such acts of violence as it can only complicate the already volatile situation in Garo Hills. We extend our profound condolences and empathy to the bereaved families,” it said in a statement.
The ABDK also expressed concern over bandhs being called during exams, especially the indefinite shutdown of Ampati, stating that there was no justification as it was the common people and the students in particular who were the worst affected. It made an appeal to the people to join hands to restore peace and normalcy in Garo Hills for the sake of future generations.
