KOHIMA:The Ruling Naga Peoples Front (NPF) and the dissident group submitted the final written arguments on their claims and counter claims over the issue of ‘NPF party symbol’ before the Election Commission of India (ECI). According to party sources the Legal representatives of the ruling NPF led by Dr Shürhozelie Leizietsu and dissident Noke Wangnao NPF group have submitted the written documents as requisitioned; however the exact date on the verdict is yet to be ascertained. The ruling is bound to be delivered in a couple of days, sources said. As reports suggests, ECI’s verdict is being earnestly awaited, not only to settle the nearly three month long impasse among the two NPF groups that paralyzed the State, but also on matters of portfolio distribution.
Meanwhile, different political colours are waiting for a berth in the T. R. Zeliang ministry.All the eight Congress legislators, who are actually the opposition party, four from the BJP and the eight Independent legislators all voted in support of the Confidence Motion of Zeliang. (UNI)
