Threat
Rialdamon Ionging of Rynjah Pdengshnong, Shillong lodged a complaint that she lent Rs. 3 lakh to one Raphel Nongsteng. On February 15,  she went to her (borrower) residence and asked to return the amount but she was pushed out of the house. On the following day, her (borrower) daughter also threatened the complainant with dire consequences.
Allurement
M.  Jaya Tapok (28) lodged a complaint that on March  22 at around 7 pm, while she was shopping with her sister at Police Bazar,  one Tony Manih (33) outraged the modesty of her sister and forced them to go with him by offering money. Police arrested the accused.
Theft  cases
On March  22 at around 7.50 pm, unidentified miscreants snatched one cell-phone and a wallet containing Rs. 350- from Zahida Khongwir at Umsohsun, Shillong.
On March  20 around 5.45 pm, unknown miscreants stole one cell-phone belonging to  Mansi Maheswari from Rose Bud Hostel, Nongrim Hills, Shillong.
Minor raped
A person lodged a complaint that on March  22 around 9 pm, two persons Shyamal Dalu and Suru Hajong abducted his fourteen year old daughter from his residence at Lower Dobasipara, Tura (WGH) and raped her in their rented house in the same locality. Accused Suru Hajong was apprehended by the villagers and handed over to the Police. The minor girl was handed over to the relatives after necessary formalities.
70-year-old dies after fall
On March  22  at around 6.25 pm, Daphine Tariang (70) accidentally fell down from her two storey building at Springside Jingkieng, Shillong. She was removed to Bethany Hospital, Shillong where the Medical Officer declared her brought dead.
Sexual assault
One lady lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on March  21 at  around 10 pm, one Govind Thapa sexually assaulted her nine-year-old daughter.
NGT ban violation
On March  20, Police detected and seized three coal laden trucks ML-04B-0557 driven by Beringpon Pajuh, ML-04A-9657 driven by Modil Chyrmang and ML-05D-8288 driven by Aibor Rymbai at Umsning (RB) transporting coal in violation of NGT order. Police arrested the drivers.
Assault
On March 19 at around 8.30 pm, one Lie Tok assaulted Ketu Maying at Arunachal Boys’ Hostel, Rilbong, Shillong. Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
4-year-old knocked down
One Melosty D Sangma lodged a complaint that on March  19 afternoon, one Maruti Car (number not known) driven by Tangseng Sangma knocked down a four year old  girl identified as  Lanchiang D Sangma  at Dakopgre, Tura. As a result, victim sustained injuries and was removed to Civil Hospital Tura for treatment. Police arrested the driver.
Woman assaulted
One Dharamshoba Devi of Langkyrding, Nongmynsong, lodged a complaint that her husband Shankar Rai and her in-laws Asharfi Rai, Geeta Devi and Krishna Rai tortured her physically and mentally since August 2012 and demanded Rs. 5 lakh out of which they were paid Rs. 3 lakh. However, on March  19, 2015 they assaulted her father and threatened him with dire consequences.
ATM vandalized
P.K. Das, Branch Manager, SBI Mawlai Branch lodged a complaint that on March  18, the ATM monitor at Mawlai Motsyiar, Shillong was found vandalized by unknown miscreants.
Vehicle batteries stolen
One Wilton Ch Momin lodged a complaint that on March 17, one Md. Amjad Ali stole eight vehicle batteries from his garage at Budugre (SGH). On March  20, morning, Police arrested the accused and recovered the stolen batteries.
