GNLA militant, facilitator held in Shallang

NONGSTOIN: Acting on information that GNLA militants had demanded money from a businessman in Shallang and that the money was to be delivered at Rongjeng market area, the SWAT team of the Police from Shallang PS laid a trap and apprehended one GNLA cadre Lasting G. Momin of Rongjeng and recovered Rs.42, 000 from his possession.
Momin had just been released from jail after having served 10 months in prison.
Later, based on leads provided by Momin, another cadre of the GNLA finance wing Abdul Latif of Songsak Shallang was arrested. Latif was said to be responsible for collecting money in Shallang.
Police seized his car and his mobile phone.
