NONGSTOIN: The roads, fields, garden, roofs, all were turned white by the gleaming hailstones on Wednesday afternoon. This also brought in the sudden chill that had vanished with winter’s departure thereby bringing down the temperature.

All the 16 destroyed houses were having CGI rooftops which were completely damaged.
According to D.Wahlang, “the hailstorm which hit the region, affected the lives of many poor people of the village”. He also informed that the matter had been intimated to the Gram Sevak to inform the same to the Office of the Nongstoin Block to ensure that help and support is extended to the affected people.
“We will also approach the local MLA and MDC for help,” D.Wahlang Nongritong sordar said.
