Security beefed up in Dimapur

KOHIMA:Following the March 25 bomb blast in Dimapur followed by a firing incident on March 26, security has been beefed up in Dimapur to thwart attempt from any quarters to create law and order situation in the district.
Official sources said that the district authorities have received intelligence reports that some anti-social elements are planning some destructive activities in Dimapur town in the coming days which might result in disturbance of public peace and create law and order problem.
There was heavy presence of police and security personnel patrolling the streets in Dimapur town, while frisking operations were being conducted in major junctions of the town.The GPRN/NSCN (Khole- Kitovi) gave a clarion call to the ‘Naga Army’ in all its designated camps to be on red alert.
In this connection, the GPRN/NSCN has directed all the ‘Naga army cadres’ who are on leave to immediately report to their respective designated camps within three days from the publication of this order.
Failure to comply with this directive will invite strict penalties to the defaulters, the MIP also cautioned. (UNI)
