Imphal: There was slight drizzle today in the state bringing some relief to the people as there is acute shortage of water.People made efforts to save rain water as normal supply of water has stopped for the last one month and people are compelled to take water from the rivers which have almost dried up.The government has also stopped supply of private water as water level is low in all rivers.Nambul, Imphal, Iril and other rivers have almost dried up and flow of water is negligible.Public Health Engineering Department is providing water using few water tankers, however, it can be of little use as it covers only few localities.
