Agartala: About 500 agents have demonstrated  on Sunday  night in Rose Valley headquarters at Agartala protesting against freezing of all its accounts and arrest of its company chief Goutam Kundu.
The protestors were seen holding placards mainly accusing  the CBI and  the Enforcement Directorate (ED) of sealing all transactions in Rose Valley accounts following arrest of Kundu in Kolkata last month. If accounts are opened we can pay back the amounts at least at the local level. Otherwise, we are now in deep trouble in our respective localities.
Rose Valley has collected money from the market through us from our friends and relatives. Unless we paid them back we have to die, said an agent of Rose Valley in Western part of Agartala. She added that they have not known about the cheating of Rose Valley.
The activities of Rose Valley and its association with trust worthy persons over the year I have joined in the business in 2011. I have collected more than Rs 12 lakh from my locality and relatives.
Now my husband, my in-laws and my parents are directly accusing me. I don’t know what to do.The protestors also blamed the political parties for the situation of Rose Valley today.
They alleged, the top bosses of the ruling Left Front parties and alleged that they have been associated with such companies since the beginning and now suddenly all of them deserted in times of crisis.
They stated, “We shall continue the agitation until our problem is solved”.
Rose Valley Agartala office is shut down since March 4 after CBI raids.
