Nagaland ministry revamp: 7 opp join NPF

Kohima: The Naga People’s Front (NPF) led Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) Government under Chief Minister TR Zeliang Ministry would be reshuffled tomorrow, where several legislators are likely to be inducted. According to NPF sources on Sunday, the T R Zeliang ministry would be reshuffled on Monday with induction some more Ministers o Monday at Raj Bhavan, where Nagaland Governor PB Acharya would administer the oath of office and secrecy at 11.00 AM.   Meanwhile, sources in Raj Bhavan also confirmed that the Swearing- in Ceremony would be held at Raj Bhavan on Monday.
Altogether seven legislators from the dissident camp of Naga Peoples Front (NPF) of Noke- Kaito, have joined the ruling NPF led by Shurhozelie and TR Zeliang camp recently, leaving only 12 dissident NPF legislators in dissident camp, out of total 38 NPF legislators in the present 60- Member Twelfth Nagaland Legislative Assembly .
According to NPF party sources today, the party has welcomed and accepted only those who joined the legislature led by Chief Minister TR Zeliang and who issued declarations in court through affidavits, nullifying their earlier declarations in favour of the dissident NPF group led by Noke and Kaito.
With the joining of the seven legislators, EE Pangteang, Naiba Konyak, T Torechu, Dr  Longriniken, Tovihoto Ayemi, Phukayi Sumi and P Pohwang Konyak, the ruling NPF led by Shurhozelie and TR Zeliang, has support of 26 NPF legislators. (UNI)
