Filmmaker Karan Johar today turned 43 and got birthday wishes from his Student of the Year actors Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.
Varun dedicated his newly-released song from upcoming movie ABCD 2 to celebrate his first director’s 43rd birthday. Aptly titled “Happy Birthday”, the song marks Varun’s debut as a rapper.
It starts with a birthday party for choreographer-actor Punit Pathak and then moves to behind-the-scenes of the “Badlapur” star rapping in a studio.
“#HappyBirthdayKaranJohar @karanjohar hope you have the most amazing year big hug. Wanna dedicate this song to you,” he posted on Twitter. Johar, who made his full-fledged acting debut this year with Anurag Kashyap’s period drama “Bombay Velvet”, was also wished by Alia and Sidharth.
“Happy birthday @karanjohar thank you for being the way you are, love you for it, big hug,” Sidharth wrote. Alia tweeted, “Happy birthday to my favourite @karanjohar !!!!! Love you love you to the stars and back.” Shraddha Kapoor, who did an item number in Johar’s “Ungli”, said, “Happy birthday @karanjohar! Wish you never ending happiness, success & hit movies for life!”. Here’s wishing @karanjohar a very happy bday. Have a super year. Much love,” tweeted Shahid Kapoor.  (PTI)
