Darkness engulfs Jowai

JOWAI:  Jowai and several other villages of West Jaintia Hills District were under darkness for more than 36 hours due to power failure thereby affecting all sections of people including business establishments and government offices.
The power went off on Sunday night. However, MeECL officials could only restore power supply on Tuesday afternoon.
MeECL sources power problem occurred due to technical snag.
