Govt to turn MTC complex into urban centre

SHILLONG: The State Government is mulling to convert the Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) building at Police Bazar into an urban centre.
Reliable sources informed that even Chief Minister Mukul Sangma was keen to convert the MTC complex into an urban centre with varieties of amenities including space for parking.
It is learnt that the Government is awaiting the completion of the Inter State Bus Terminus at Mawiong to take up the project of converting the MTC complex into an urban centre.
